Jay trains like the astronauts

At Jay's house last weekend I saw a strange machine in his garage next to his treadmills and steppers, it's called a Power Plate and here is what it is used for.

Sports teams and professional athletes throughout the world use Power Plate® machines to gain a competitive edge. But it is also ideal for at-home exercise or rehabilitation. Medical studies have demonstrated that low-stress vibration training can reduce pain and soreness and speed the recovery of damaged muscles and tendons

Jay took a few pics n it and here is what he had to say about it.

"The power plate I use for stretching and flexibility. It has been used by NASA for training of the astronauts. I use it daily when training @ full capacity"

Breakfast at the Cutler Casa!

Well after coming back from our trip to New Mexico. We hung out a bit a Jay's house. The next morning, we ate breakfast in Jay's HUGE kitchen with the company of his 3 dogs of course which I'm sure by now you know.

Kerry, so beautiful, yet so shy!

Big Big Jay! You like that Cuts? LOL!!

We ran into Johnnie Jackson the other day, at Gold's Venice during American Gladiators tryouts. No, Johnnie wasn't following Chris Cormier's lead and trying out for the show. JOJ was in town filming an episode of Bodybuilding.com's Muscletech Road to the Ironman.

Jackson told us his weight was around 246-247 and that he had made some significant improvements since finishing 9th at the 2007 Olympia.

Check back later this week for a flexonline interview with Johnnie Jackson.

Mr. O in Albuquerque, New Mexico

This weekend, Saturday, Jan 26th, 2008 Jay went to a Max Muscle store appearance in New Mexico, we took the plane early and of course between his phone calls and Blackberry typing sesions, Jay had a few little naps here and there. LOL!!

At the airport hooking up with our buddy Tony.

The signing start and it is BUSY BUSY!

The Cool Max out Monster truck from Jesus "The owner"

Jay is always popular with the kids, many families showed up and brought their little ones to meet Mr. O.

Jay and a couple of cuties (Oh man! The life of a Mr. O!)

Looking big just standing there

After the event, Jay then went to a local personal training studio catering to athletes such as football, soccer and baseball players to shoot a little commecial using the various machines. Some of them were kinda of weird but one was a really cool one as it was a giant threadmill with a harnest attached to the waist of the athlete running as fast as possible. Great exercise for football players. I never knew Jay could run so fast, LOL!!

Another football training machine that seemed to help with coordination

A shoulder press machine

I'm just walking! LOL! (Jay will know what that means)

Bench press

Back at the airport waiting to go back to Vegas

While waiting to board the flight, Jay was recognized by several kids part of a Church troup that just came back from a retreat, they ran towards Jay and started taking pictures. Jay was of course happy to oblige.

A kid which was a huge fan of Jay's even went to go buy a Musclemag magazine with Jay on the cover so Jay could sign it.

Video Vixen

We were down in Venice the other day, shooting another episode of the Life in Venice Video series. This time we decided to add some female flavor to the series and caught up with IFBB pro bodybuilder Cathy LeFrancois. Cathy is getting ready for the Arnold Classic and, as you can see, looks like she could step on stage in a week. Check back later this week for Episode Four of Life in Venice Video Series. Here is a sampling of what you'll see on the video.

Hittting a calf shot

Arms looking good

Ready to roll with the E-Z bar

Fixing the hair for the camera

Eating at the firehouse with Dave Bourlet, Bob Cicherillo, Scotty and Chris Cormier

Hidetada Yamagishi made his second appearance at the LAX Airport Superior Court in Los Angeles today. Yamagishi was scheduled to appear this morning, but apparently missed the bus to the Superior Court from the North County Correctional Facility where he is being held. His appearance was rescheduled for the afternoon. However, the court-appointed Japanese translator was not at the afternoon session due to another obligation.

Since there was no court-appointed translator on the premises, all parties -- the District Attorney, the defense and the presiding Judge -- agreed to reconvene for a prelimary hearing on February 6. Apparently the defense is still waiting for some expert testimony to review before giving to the District Attorney. Hide entered the court room, handcuffed and wearing a standard green prison-issued uniform, after all parties agreed to the Feb. 6 date. The judge said hello, and asked Yamagishi if he understood English. Yamagishi nodded. The judge then explained the Feb. 6 prelim date. Hide then left the court room. Yamagishi was in the court room for less than a minute.
